RACQUETS

One of Knollwood's most active programs, Racquets provides a full array of activities for men, women, seniors and juniors. Knollwood Club's Racquets Program offers tennis and paddle tennis, each its own distinct game. Both provide active schedules of instruction, team and league play.

POOL

A large Burr Oak shadows Knollwood Club's wonderful pool facility, which includes seasonal cabanas and summer pavilion dining.

A comprehensive swimming program is offered. Highlights include:
• Group and individual lessons
• Knollwood's youth swim team, the Gators, teaches competitive swimming through stroke mechanics, social and team building
skills. The team competes with other area clubs, and quite successfully! Go Gators!

SKEET

Knollwood Club is one of the few country clubs on the North Shore to offer the fun and challenge of Skeet Shooting to its membership. Using shotguns with various gauges, shooters aim at clay discs or "birds" mechanically discharged from locations on the field. The only charges are for skeet rounds and guest fees.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

Members who enjoy winter sports experience wonderful cross-country skiing opportunities at Knollwood Club. Skiing around the perimeter of the course at the tree line is very enjoyable, offering a different perspective than seen during the summer.

There are also interesting trails that can be explored. By skiing out the southwest corner of the golf course and directly west through the woods, the trails of the Middlefork Savannah can be accessed. In recent years, the Lake County Forest Preserve District completed 4 ½ miles of new trails with five new bridges that cross the middle fork of the west branch of the Chicago River. It is possible to hike or ski all the way from IL Route 176 to Highway 60. It's a beautiful area and can be easily accessed from Knollwood Club.
